A Kitchen with Soul, Design, and Functionality
Designed by Áltico Cocinas, this kitchen reimagines the domestic heart of the home as a lived-in, shared, and cherished space—one that transcends cooking and becomes the stage for daily life. For a family of four, including two children, the brief was clear: they wanted more than a beautiful kitchen—they wanted a space that would adapt to their rhythm of life without compromising on design.
Centrally located and fully open to the rest of the home, the kitchen emerges as a visual and functional anchor. Defined by a minimalist language of clean lines and honest materials, it blends form and purpose with quiet sophistication. Matte white lacquer fronts without handles contribute to a light, unbroken surface, while black recessed pulls subtly articulate the geometry of the cabinetry. Warmth and texture are introduced through hand-carved walnut wood slats crafted on 19 mm phenolic board, a detail that celebrates artisanal workmanship and a commitment
to authenticity. The central island, clad in a dramatic veined porcelain countertop, is more than a workspace—it is the beating heart of family interaction. It features an integrated induction cooktop with hidden extractor, drawer units with bespoke wooden organizers, and a sleek rear panel that conceals the baseboard to preserve the island’s sculptural purity.
Attention to detail permeates every element: a black faucet complements the under-mounted sink; discreet LED lighting lines the underside of the upper cabinetry; and a custom breakfast bar includes extendable counter space and integrated power outlets, creating a dedicated nook for coffee rituals.
